I was left in tears at the understanding and truth of God that this man of God has managed to share here in this very short excerpt. Oh how I praise God for such ministry! Oh how I praise God for the straightforward manner in which he speaks this glorious Truth, in the love of Christ!

Love these old hymns – I had a very interesting comment from a chap called Robert, who has a site called wordwisehymns.com in response to my post of the hymn – There is a fountain filled with blood. He is involved with writing backgrounds to hymns on cyber-hymnal Would be worth a visit as I am sure you would really enjoy this and his own personal blog too

Totally agree with you matey. This is something that I’m still trying to deal with personally, as I find that I still sometimes have ingrained doctrines of old that are mainly there due to being propped up by stand alone texts taken out of context.

To be honest though, I think the moment we seem too determined to quote what particular people say, rather than what the Bible says as a whole, then we’re in danger of doing just that all over again.

By all means let us listen closely to one another, and to those we consider to be mature in Christ, but let none of these influences be so loud as to drown out completely the voice of the Lord revealed through Scripture.
